Projects and Grants

Penn Lake Park Borough was awarded 2 grants in 2019, that combined were over $127,000. The grants are funded through the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED)  and the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR)

The DCED grant will provide:

ADA access to the gazebo. This work will include a concrete sidewalk from the road to the gazebo, along with a wood ramp, parking area, and benches. 

ADA access to the beach:   This work will include some earthwork that will improve drainage and a sidewalk area, grass restoration, etc

ADA access to the playground:  This work will include new benches and parking areas and fencing etc

DCNR grant will fund new playground equipment, new surfacing, a parking area and fixtures, as well as a gravel trail that will lead to the playground from the ballpark. 

All projects are scheduled to be completed by the end of October/early November but, due to Covid 19, there may be some delays.
